Society of Tribal Welfare and Rural Education with the support of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development initiatives focuses on empowering rural women Self-Help Group (SHG). We believe upskilling initiatives need to be backed with both support and sustainability. Our organization's efforts offer up-skilling opportunities to women from rural communities and provide the support needed to build a sustainable business through training programs and bank linkages.

A group of 30 women was selected as a Self-help Group (SHG) for MEDP on cotton sacs. Bags are a daily requirement for every household work. Reusable bags are useful for carrying grocery items, vegetables, and fruits. They can also be used to carry files, books, and light domestic materials. The best thing about cotton bags is that they are not expensive compared to other material bags; also, these bags are eco-friendly and reusable.

SHG members create large numbers of bags this time these bags do not compete with brands but gradually women will prepare quality bags. After the training, they are doing regular practice.

 During the training period, we are going to make hand bags, Shoulder bags, Designer bags, Lunchbox bags, Gift bags, Grocery bags, Travel bags, etc…
